Regular Meeting of the Town of Sherburne Town Board was held on Wednesday, May 8th in the office of the Supervisor.  Present:  Supervisor Mastro, Councilpersons Meyer, Wern, Krum, Bagnall, Code Enforcement Officer Andrews, Town Clerk McDaniel.

Approval of April, 2013 Minutes

Motion by Bagnall and seconded by Meyer to approve the April 10, 2013 minutes.  Supervisor Mastro  – Aye; Councilpersons Meyer – Aye; Wern – Aye; Krum – Aye and Bagnall – Aye.  Carried.

Supervisor’s Report, Code Officer’s Report and Town Clerk’s Report

Supervisor’s Report, Code Enforcement Officer Report and Town Clerk’s Report accepted and reviewed.  Code Enforcement Officer Andrews reported on the Lawrence Post property and that a dumpster is now on the property and a demolition permit issued.

Old Business

Historic Park Building  

Smith Foundation granted $7,500 for the new Historic Park building.  The Historic Park has collected 40,000 in donations  Finch Fund is going to be granting $45,000.00.  If the cost of the building goes over the $92,500 the Finch Foundation will cover the extra cost for the building. Bruce Webster to be Clerk of the Works for the project.  Engineer Bill Rudy to oversee the project.

Alarm System Historic Park Log Cabin – Sentry Alarms, LLC gave a quote of $1,250 for the alarm system for the log cabin with a $37.75 monthly charge.  Motion by Krum and seconded by Wern to approve Sentry Alarm System for the Historic Park Log Cabin. Supervisor Mastro  – Aye; Councilpersons Meyer – Aye; Wern – Aye; Krum – Aye and Bagnall – Aye.  Carried.

Carpenter Bees at the Historic Park – An Exterminator is needed for carpenter bees at the Historic Park Log Cabin.   Further study to be made.

Natural Gas Update

No new communication from the Natural Gas Task Force Committee.

New Business

Insurance Inspection discussion. Insurance inspection was held for the Town’s insurance held with Gates-Coles.  Issues to be addressed will be outlined in a forthcoming letter.

Cleaning Person

Georgia Peptis is retiring. Alicia Kane was recommended by Georgena Peptis for a replacement.  Motion by Meyer and seconded by Bagnall to hire Alicia Kane for the new cleaning person for the Town Office. Supervisor Mastro  – Aye; Councilpesons Meyer – Aye; Wern – Aye; Krum – Aye and Bagnall – Aye.  Carried.

Health Insurance

Lisa Beers from Mang has resigned.   Kevin Morris, an insurance broker has talked to Supervisor Mastro with regards to representing the town for our health insurance.   Town  Supervisor Mastro will be meeting with him to discuss the health insurance.

Time Warner

Check was received in the amount of 11,193.80 for franchise fees due for 2012.

Approval of May, 2013 Bills

Motion by Bagnall and seconded by Wern to approve the May, 2013 bills. Supervisor Mastro  – Aye; Councilpersons Meyer – Aye; Wern – Aye; Krum – Aye and Bagnall – Aye.  Carried.

Councilman Wern – to do bills for next month.
