Regular meeting of the Sherburne Town Board was held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in the Office of the Supervisor.  Present:  Supervisor Mastro, Councilpersons Meyer, Wern, Krum and Bagnall, Code Enforcement Officer Andrews, Town Clerk McDaniel.  Absent:  Highway Superintendent Brunschmid.

Approval of May 8, 2013 Minutes

Motion by Meyers and seconded by Bagnall to approve minutes of May 8, 2013.  Supervisor Mastro – Aye; Councilpersons Meyers – Aye; Wern – Aye; Krum – Aye; Bagnall – Aye.  Carried.

Supervisor’s Report, Town Clerk’s Report and Code Officer’s Report

Supervisor’s Report, Town Clerk’s Report and Code Officer’s Report all received and reviewed.

Old Business

Historic Building – Going well.  Removal of the bridge at the Historic Park discussed.  Shawn Kelly contacted.  The Sentry Alarm System is installed in the Log Cabin.  Natural Gas – nothing new to report.

Election – Petitions are starting to circulate for officers being elected in November.

New Business

Health Insurance – Discussion held on health insurance plans for employees.  Be it resolved by motion by Bagnall and seconded by Wern to permit Supervisor Mastro to sign letters of agreement for change of health insurance broker to Kaatirondack Benefit Planning Incorporated.  Supervisor Mastro – Aye; Councilpersons Meyers – Aye; Wern – Aye; Krum – Aye; Bagnall – Aye.  Carried.

Equalization Rate – Equalization rate up to 83%.

Safety Audits – Discussion held on the safety audit by the Department of Labor and HCC Risk Control over the safety audit and what is required.

Flag in Front of UCC – Discussion held on the replacement of the American flag in front of UCC and who owns the property.  Dan Andrews to get a price of a flag and present it to the village.   The Town Board suggested splitting the cost of the flag with the village.

Timber Sale – Supervisor Mastro talked with John Kowalski talked about a “management cut” to thin out the trees, etc.  Motion by Meyer seconded by Wern to allow John Kowalski to do tree management.

Bills for June 2013

Motion by Wern seconded by Meyer to approve bills for June 2013.  Supervisor Mastro – Aye; Councilpersons Meyers – Aye; Wern – Aye; Krum – Aye; Bagnall – Aye.  Carried.  Councilman Meyer to approve bills for July.

Reports of Board Members

Discussion on having Rexford Falls Bridge inspected.  Further study to be made.
